1. Purpose

Libraryinseconds ("Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), operated by Zenrio Technologies, is committed to maintaining accurate and reliable library information.

Some library listings may be created using information obtained from library owners, authorized representatives, users, publicly available lawful sources, or other information that we reasonably believe to be accurate.

We recognize that information may become outdated or incorrect over time. This Policy explains how library owners, authorized representatives, users, or other affected persons can request corrections or review of a listing.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to requests relating to:

  • incorrect library information;
  • outdated information;
  • duplicate listings;
  • permanently closed libraries;
  • incorrect contact details;
  • incorrect address or map location;
  • incorrect operating hours;
  • incorrect facilities;
  • unauthorized photographs;
  • ownership disputes;
  • requests to review whether a listing should continue to appear on the Platform.

This Policy does not replace our Copyright & Intellectual Property Complaint Policy, which should be used for copyright or trademark-related complaints.

3. Who May Submit a Request

A correction or takedown request may be submitted by:

  • the library owner;
  • an authorized representative of the library;
  • an authorized employee;
  • a registered user;
  • any individual directly affected by the information published on the Platform.

Where appropriate, we may request additional information to verify the identity or authority of the requester.

4. Types of Requests

You may request:

A. Correction of Information

Examples include:

  • library name;
  • address;
  • phone number;
  • email address;
  • website;
  • operating hours;
  • facilities;
  • seating capacity;
  • photographs;
  • map location;
  • other factual information.

B. Duplicate Listing

If the same library appears more than once, you may request that duplicate listings be reviewed and merged where appropriate.

C. Ownership Review

If someone other than the rightful owner is managing a listing, you may request an ownership review.

Ownership changes are handled through our verification process.

D. Permanently Closed Library

If a library has permanently ceased operations, you may request that we review the listing.

After verification, we may:

  • update the listing;
  • mark it as permanently closed;
  • remove it where appropriate.

E. Listing Review / Takedown Request

If you believe that a listing should not continue to appear on the Platform, you may submit a request explaining the reasons.

Each request will be reviewed individually.

Submission of a request does not automatically result in removal of the listing.

5. Information Required

To help us investigate your request, please provide:

  • your full name;
  • email address;
  • phone number (recommended);
  • URL of the affected listing;
  • description of the issue;
  • supporting documents or evidence (where available);
  • explanation of the requested correction or review.

We may request additional information if necessary.

6. How to Submit a Request

Requests may be submitted through:

  • the "Report an Issue" feature (where available);
  • the "Suggest an Edit" feature (where available);
  • the "Claim Library" process;
  • our contact form;
  • our support email.

For copyright-related matters, please use our Copyright & Intellectual Property Complaint Policy.

7. Review Process

Upon receiving a request, we may:

  • acknowledge receipt;
  • review the information provided;
  • request additional evidence;
  • contact the library owner or claimant;
  • verify information using reasonable methods;
  • update, correct, merge, temporarily restrict, or otherwise modify the listing where appropriate.

Our decisions are made in good faith based on the information reasonably available to us at the time.

8. Indicative Timelines

We generally aim to:

  • acknowledge receipt of a request within 24 hours, and dispose of the request within 15 days of receipt, in accordance with Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021;
  • for requests relating to unauthorized photographs that expose a person's private area, depict full or partial nudity or a sexual act, or impersonate a person through morphed images, remove or disable access to such content within 72 hours of receiving the request, in accordance with Rule 3(2)(b) of the same Rules;
  • begin review after receiving sufficient information;
  • communicate the outcome or request additional information as soon as reasonably practicable.

The acknowledgment, disposal, and 72-hour timelines above are statutory minimums that apply regardless of complexity. Complex ownership disputes or other legal matters not covered by Rule 3(2) may require additional time.

9. Possible Outcomes

Following our review, we may:

  • correct inaccurate information;
  • update outdated information;
  • merge duplicate listings;
  • mark a library as permanently closed;
  • transfer ownership after successful verification;
  • remove unlawful or unauthorized content;
  • reject requests where insufficient evidence is provided;
  • maintain the listing where we reasonably believe it is lawful and factually accurate.

10. Public Directory

The Platform operates as a public directory of libraries.

A request to remove a listing does not automatically require the Platform to remove factual business information that it is lawfully entitled to display.

Where appropriate, verified owners may instead claim and manage the listing through our Owner Claim process.

11. False or Misleading Requests

Submitting intentionally false, fraudulent, or misleading requests is prohibited.

Where appropriate, we may:

  • reject the request;
  • request additional verification;
  • suspend Platform accounts involved in abusive reporting;
  • take any other action permitted under our Terms of Use or applicable law.
